Choosing a Boiler

When planning to purchase a new boiler or to replace the old one, define your expectations first. BIOKAITRA boilers are a suitable choice for those who:

  • seek maximum savings by minimising the heating expenses;

  • Want to be able to switch the type of fuel and use various agro-, bio-pellets or solid fuel (wood, briquettes);

  • Want to fill the fuel tank with fuel as rarely as possible (every few days);

  • look for a boiler, which maintenance and management would be simple and convenient, as well as understandable to all family members;

  • want a possibility to be able to set different temperatures in different premises and on different time; to set daily, weekly, or other preferred modes;

  • look for a boiler that could be connected to other systems: another (gas, liquid or solid fuel) boiler, solar collector, or hot water preparation equipment;

  • look for a reliable boiler – safe, hydraulically tested and certified.

Commissioning of the Boiler

Upon the completion of the boiler installation works, the boiler must be put into operation and adjusted. This can be done only by companies certified by the manufacturer or manufacturer’s maintenance service workers.

Prior to the commissioning of the boiler, the following works must be carried out:

  • the boiler must be connected to the heating system;

  • the chimney must be connected;

  • the heating system and the boiler must be filled with water, hydraulic tests must be carried out, and the air must be removed from the system.

During the boiler commissioning works, the boiler control automation devices are commuted, the initial start-up of the boiler is carried out, and combustion and automation parameters are set.

Customer training is provided, during which the customer is informed about the proper way to maintain the boiler (how to use it, change its parameters and clean it) in order to ensure the durability of the installation.

The following documents are executed together with the customer: boiler room staff training certificate (1 copy)is signed, warranty certificate is filled in by indicating the boiler model and serial number(2 copies), and the annex to the warranty certificate is filled in(2 copies).

The price of the boiler commissioning works is LTL 400.

Further Use of Boiler

BIOKAITRA boiler must be filled with fuel every 3–7 days. The frequency of filling depends on the boiler capacity, heated area, type of the fuel used, outside air temperature, room temperature, etc.

The boiler must be cleaned once per month. The heat exchanger and burner are cleaned. Please watch the video “Boiler cleaning” for BIOKAITRA boiler cleaning procedure.

Pellets can be acquired at any time of the year, therefore, it is unnecessary to purchase large amounts and store them.

If straw pellets are used, three main parameters determining the efficiency of a boiler operation must be taken into account. The recommended parameters are as follows: at least 3,500 Kcal/kg, moisture content up to 12%, ash content up to 5%.
